Accomodations & Prices
We have 3 different seasons in KBL:
and the situation on-site varies accordingly.
Winter Retreats
Karma Berchen Ling is a wonderful place to do retreats, and you are very welcome to visit at any time during the year. In late spring and summer, there are almost always people on site, and all of the rooms in the houses are occupied, but meals will be provided. In autumn, winter and early spring you can stay in one of the two houses, but you will have to provide your own food.
Please find out in advance if someone will be at KBL during your planned visit and what you will need to bring along.
Registration
- Very important: when planning a retreat in autumn, winter and early spring, be sure to write an e-mail to berchenling@diamondway-center.org
- Contact Jan at +30 695 720 9904beforehand concerning the current accommodations for guests at KBL. Otherwise, you may find that no one is there when you arrive.
Prices
- €7 per person per day for staying in the house
- Shuttle from Athens airport to KBL (including the possibility to go shopping) – one way: €60
- Shuttle from Xilokastro – one way: €15; from Kiato: €17

Food is provided by the team organising the course or building period. Depending on how many people are on site, you may be able to stay in the houses, but you also might have to sleep in your tent. Therefore, bring a tent regardless.

- €17 per person per day for staying in the house
- €15 per person per day for camping
- Shuttle from Xylocastro to KBL (if someone can pick you up from KBL) – one way: €15
Three meals per day will be provided, and there will be a small shop and a snack bar for basic necessities. We cannot offer you rooms or a nearby hotel. You will have to sleep either in your own tent or in the meditation tent during the course.

Important Information
KBL is very remote and difficult to reach without a car. Shuttle service to and from Xylokastro (Bus) or Kiato (train) takes around one hour each way. We charge you €17/21 per person per way for gasoline. We do not arrange shuttle services for going to the beach, shopping, etc. It is also Lama Ole’s wish that we keep the energy and power field together at the site of the meditation course. (Shuttle service will not be provided for the large summer course in 2010!)
