Get involved
Building a Stupa is a lot of work. There are several ways to get involved in the exciting process of development and activity connected with the Kalachakra Stupa.
For the preparation of the large summer course in 2010, we established a human resources team that will help you get involved. Please let us know when you are planning to visit, how many people you will be traveling with, if you will have a car at your disposal and if you are a specialist in any field (e.g. a professional carpenter, someone experienced with cooking for 30+ people, etc.).
Please contact us prior to your visit at get-involved@berchenling.org
All “KBL ambassadors” who would like to share news & information in their respective countries, please contact get-informed@berchenling.org to obtain access to the download area that contains presentations, the KBL movie, etc.
Whoever would like to financially support the construction of the Kalachakra Stupa, please see Finance & Donations.

Tsatsas are plaster reliefs of Buddhas or miniature Stupas. They represent the enlightened qualities of our mind and are used as a means to reach enlightenment. Making or even looking at aspects of the Buddha in the form of Tsatsas creates a positive impression on our mind. The Kalachakra Stupa at KBL will be filled with quiet a lot of them.
All Tsatsas will be produced on site. Because of the limited resources, it will only be possible for 8 people to work on the Tsatsas at any given time. For this reason, Buddhist centres will organize teams to do this work on site. Please ask in your center if this has been planed; otherwise inquire at get-involved@berchenling.org.
March – May 2010: Site Preparation
From March until May 2010, we have to prepare the site for all of the events this summer. Some repairs need to be made, the water system should be enhanced and so on. All craftsmen and craftswomen, cooks, shoppers and “jacks-of-all-trades” are always most welcome to join us. We are looking forward to international support. Let’s work together, right now, to discover the true nature of our minds … get-involved@berchenling.org.
15 July – 20 August 2010: (Main) Course Preparation

This summer we are expecting the biggest course we have ever had in Berchen Ling. We will build a Gompa-tent, a tent for the meals and the kitchen, toilets, a washing-area and so on. Because the site is very wild and remote, it has quiet different conditions than life in the city.
For the preparation of the main summer course, we will need 50 to 100 helpers on site. If you have the free time and surplus, please get involved and inspired, and share your skills to make the big dream happen together: get-involved@berchenling.org.
28 August 2010 – open end: Post-course dismantling/cleaning and preparations for winter
After the summer course, we will need to dismantle everything that we built up during the course preparation, such as the tents, etc. The site must also be prepared for the coming winter. If you have the time and surplus, also after the course, please let us know: get-involved@berchenling.org.
