It has been few years since the program of taking care of Berchen Ling by international sangha started and it was always a great fun and pleasure to be part of it. But this year we decided to go one more step further towards the real purpose of this amazing retreat place of ours. As a part of Czech month (February) in Berchen Ling Czech group organized one week group retreat with two traveling teachers.

Once we arrived to the place we knew immediately that it was the best idea we could have. It´s hard to describe how it felt to meditate there together, but few of my friends told me that it was such a strong experience that it somehow changed them. I hope in a positive way:-)

Anyway we hope that other countries will also organize meditation courses and retreats with traveling teachers the whole year around in Berchen Ling and use this precious place as much as possible:-)

We are going to organize similar meditation course with Karolina Pospisilova and Jakub Kadlec again next year, but this time international. So, you are all more than welcome.

It was my first stay at Karma Berchen Ling and, actually, I am wordless. I have experienced great joy, true friendship and much more clarity. I also realize, that the danger can be very real, but fear is a choice. And I am very thankful, that I have such a teacher – Lama Ole Nydahl. If you want to face the real yourself, come to KBL! Last week we had a special visit on our retreat place KBL. Together with few of us we went up with friends from Beijing. We walked around, visited a cave, tried climbing the rocks but to no avail:)

The weather was great and we spent some great time with the residents of the place.

The weather was sunny and lovely. There were present 15 people from 6 nationalities. We started early and finished in the evening with four practice sessions during the day. One session took place on Dorje Phamo Peak and another even on the beach. The latter was more a training in concentration -:).

Everybody was pleased with the program and big, special thanks to our lovely cooks, Mariana and Elina, for keeping us content and healthy.

Lama Ole Nydahl visited KBL late this August. He gave Mahamudra teachings. Many friends from all over the world again came together for lectures and joyful work. Discussions about future plans of the place were held. Lama Ole married 7 couples at the great Kalachakra stupa.

Last week we had project “Stupa footpath”. Everyday 12 hours work under hard conditions brought great result and now our Stupa on KBL is complete. Thanks to all the friends who helped physically or mentally to finish this project.

Like always, we want to follow the plan but place decided what must be done. This weekend we change kitchen drainage and continued with kitchen storage.
